About Chareco Sew
FAQ:
What does the name Chareco mean?
Chareco is an acronym which stands for
Chainstitch Repair Company
What is the origin story for Chareco Sew?
I bought my first chainstitch machine on ebay in 2015. The machine arrived missing components and it needed love.
After a year of calling sewing machine repair centers around the united states I was finally able to track down a machine table, thread, needles, and everything else I needed to start stitching.
Along the way I met all sorts of interesting people who were also getting into chainstitch, and who were having the same problems getting started as I was.
After about a year of trying to get an embroidery hobby off the ground I found myself drawn to the repair and supply side of the business much more than doing the actual embroidery.
How has Chareco developed and grown over the years?
2015: Chainstitch Repair Company founded in a friends garage.
2015-2020: I spent nights and weekends learning how to fix industrial sewing machines while working full time as a custom canvas fabricator.
2020: I started Chareco Sewing Machines and opened my repair business full time.
2024: Relocated to the Hudson Valley region of New York State.
What is the Mission of Chareco Sew?
What I can say definitively is that Chareco strives to offer everything I wish I had access to when I started out 10 years ago. This includes everything from machines, tables, materials, and most of all support.
Why should we support Chareco Sew over the alternatives?
When you spend your money with Chareco you aren't just buying a table, or a spool of thread. You are allowing me to continue to grow the only dedicated Chainstitch Embroidery Supply in the United States. A tremendous amount of the revenue we generate is reinvested into R&D and product testing to continue bringing our customers and community more and more beautiful offerings.
